Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake." - Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King and his wife Coretta were avid vegetarians who firmly believed that in order to avoid oppression of people, we must stop oppression in all forms - including the mistreatment of animals. Their son, Dexter Scott King, a skilled civil rights activist in his own right, became a vegan in the 1980s and continues to promote a vegan lifestyle.
